The Master of Divinity is a three-year degree programme in English medium providing students with professional vocational training for ministry on a college level. The purpose of the M.Div degree is to encourage those involved, or anticipating involvement in Ministry, with a special focus on Urban Mission. With a broad educational component the curriculum enables students to formulate an in-depth biblical, theological, historical and missiological programme that is practically relevant for the Indian context. There is a positive evangelical and charismatic ethos to the course, but nevertheless, the approach attempts to give a critical analysis of all understandings and methods.
The M.Div. program is structured in such a way that in three years it gives the student a balanced exposure to both theological studies and practical ministry. It is a 6-semester program with a total number of 94 credit hours. The course comprises of 18 core subjects and 14 optional subjects, including a thesis prepared towards the end of the final year counting for 6 credit hours.
