The Bible College library is named after our founding father, Dr. Thomas Mathews, who always encouraged keen research. It is housed in the first floor of the main building, designed to meet the needs of the students and faculty members. The building provides reading room accommodation for 100 students.
The first concern of FBC Library is to support and extend the total curriculum with carefully selected collection of pertinent literature and audio-visual resources. The book collection numbers more than 18,000 volumes and is one of the developing specialist theological libraries in North-West India. Additions are constantly made every year. Of the seventeen thousand volumes, more than 15,000 are in English and the rest are in Hindi, in Marathi, in Gujarati and in Malayalam. More than 60 periodicals and scholarly journals are regularly received. The library follows Dewy's Decimal classification for categorizing. The library also provides access to the wide world of research available on the internet through the workstations installing in the library. Apart from that, the library provides internet and email access, photocopying machines and a printer. Audio-visual facilities, which include lectures, seminars, films and sermons are provided by the library.
The Library is well connected with, and is a part of, FBConnect, a unique learning initiative which enhances the library resources through an intranet online portal. For more information, please click here.
